GuardWare - Screen Shield™ Home Use

ScreenShield™ provides three (3) Modes of Operation that allow you to determine your family's level of exposure to potentially explicit images, and what action(s) should take place for any occurrence.

From the Control Panel you can tailor a protection solution for your home computer.

Passive Protection
Stealth Protection
Active Protection

Passive Protection
All potentially pornographic image occurrences are logged along with a "thumbnail" snapshot of the screen for future review. In Passive Mode, an icon is displayed in the System Tray of each personal computer. The icon acts as a visible and persistent reminder for anyone who may be tempted to view illicit materials.

(The System Tray is part of the Windows task bar at the bottom of your computer screen. Icons are visible in the system tray to indicate specific software is installed and running on your computer.)

Stealth Protection
All potentially pornographic image occurrences are logged along with a "thumbnail" snapshot of the screen for future review. In Stealth Mode, no icon is displayed in the System Tray. This allows you to monitor personal computer activities invisibly.

Active Protection
All potentially pornographic image occurrences are logged along with a "thumbnail" snapshot of the screen for future review. In Active Mode, a Screen Lockout feature is invoked to block offending images. Once a suspect image is displayed, the screen is blocked and the computer frozen until a parent or guardian unlocks the computer. This provides the fullest level of protection.
