Product - Control Panel

The Control Panel is used to configure the way ScreenShield will operate, and to view and analyze any event in the Log. The Control Panel provides access to all aspects of ScreenShield operation. The Control Panel is password protected to prevent unauthorized access to the ScreenShield settings.

Enable / Disable

ScreenShield can be enabled and disabled using the General Control Panel setting. You also have the option to disable ScreenShield for X minutes, which suspends the Detection Engine for the specified period of time. After the specified time period, ScreenShield will be automatically reactivated.

Detection Engine

Once installed, ScreenShield's Detection Engine runs constantly. There is no user intervention required to start the Detection Engine - it will start automatically every time the PC is turned on.

Settings allow you to adjust the sensitivity levels of ScreenShield's Detection Engine to images displayed on the computer screen. The default ScreenShield settings are designed to provide an acceptable level of protection against pornographic images.

Setting also allow you to determine whether ScreenShield will lock the PC upon detection of a pornographic image or just log the event. ScreenShield offers three (3) Modes of Operation.
