ScreenShield
provides four (4) Modes of Operation that allow
you to determine your organization's level of exposure
to potentially explicit images, and how you want
to be notified of any occurrences. From the
Control Panel, you
can implement a protection solution that suits your
specific requirements, culture and policies.

Passive
Protection
All potentially
pornographic image occurrences are logged along
with a "thumbnail" snapshot of the screen for
future review. In Passive Mode, an icon is displayed
in the System Tray of each personal computer.
The icon acts as a visible and persistent reminder
for anyone who may be tempted to view illicit
materials. |

Stealth
Protection
All potentially pornographic
image occurrences are logged along with a "thumbnail"
snapshot of the screen for future review. In Stealth
Mode, no icon is displayed in the System Tray. This
allows you to monitor personal computer activities
invisibly.

Active
Protection
All potentially pornographic
image occurrences are logged along with a "thumbnail"
snapshot of the screen for future review. In Active
Mode, a Screen Lockout feature is invoked to block
offending images. Once a suspect image is displayed,
the screen is blocked and the computer frozen until
the computer is unlocked remotely from the control
panel or locally on the PC. This provides the fullest
level of protection.

Active
Warning
All potentially pornographic
image occurrences are logged and, when detected,
a customized warning is flashed on the user's screen.
After a threshold number of warnings have been given
(e.g. three strikes and you're out!) then the active
screen lock is invoked.
